Dental Extractions

Whether you need a routine tooth extraction or a more intricate dental surgical procedure, tooth removal is a commonly performed operation that typically involves minimal pain or discomfort.

Dentures

Whether you opt for new dentures or opt to maintain and repair your existing full or partial dentures, these modern dental prostheses can provide a relatively painless solution for replacing several or all of your teeth.

Root Canal

Teeth Cleanings

Preventing gum disease and tooth decay is straightforward with routine checkups and cleanings. Maintain a schedule of dental visits every 6 to 8 months to steer clear of sudden dental discomfort and unforeseen expenditures.

Complete Dental Care From Start to Finish

Preserve the longevity of your teeth and maintain optimal oral health through consistent dental care. Regular dental visits coupled with early intervention at the first sign of decay can prevent pain, discomfort, and unforeseen expenses. If you are experiencing issues with your teeth, gums, or overall oral health, restorative dental treatments can restore normalcy and comfort. General dentistry prioritizes your comprehensive health.

Here’s what you can expect from preventative and restorative dental care:

Preventative Care:

  • Achieve cleaner, brighter-looking teeth without the need for whitening treatments.
  • X-rays that identify small issues before they become major.
  • Healthy gums that are free from itching or bleeding.
  • Composite fillings that effectively stop cavities.
  • Reduced tooth sensitivity to temperature changes.
  • Prevention and reversal of tooth decay.
  • Prolonged durability of dental prosthetics and appliances.

Restorative Dentistry:

  • Preserve your natural teeth from infections.
  • Replace missing teeth with options that look and feel natural.
  • Restore damaged teeth to their original condition.
  • Tailor-made prosthetics and appliances crafted just for you.
  • Enjoy easier eating, better sleep, and an overall improved quality of life.

The Value of Early Intervention and Regular Dental Care

An ounce of prevention truly is worth a pound of cure, and we’re dedicated to seeing your bright, healthy smile. Your well-being is our primary concern, which is why we emphasize routine care and early intervention. By maintaining the health of your teeth, gums, jaw, and tongue—and addressing issues as they arise—you’ll experience less discomfort, avoid pain, and incur fewer unexpected costs. This commitment to your health is why our patients keep smiling.

Preserve Your Natural Teeth

Did you know cavities are the leading cause of tooth loss in young adults and gum disease in older adults? Good oral hygiene habits at home are essential, but during your regular exams, we can spot early signs of tooth decay and gum disease and take action before these conditions worsen.

Economize on Healthcare

Regular cleanings and checkups are cost-effective and predictable expenses that can easily be budgeted. Early treatments for tooth decay, such as composite fillings, are also affordable and a wise investment for the long term. Conversely, more extensive procedures needed to address severe issues tend to be costlier.

Enjoy Effortless Oral Health

Optimal oral health means you won’t even have to think about it. There are no pains, no aches, and no chronic toothaches. You won’t have to be selective about your diet or feel self-conscious about your appearance. Well-cared-for teeth are not only beautiful but also comfortable and dependable.

to schedule an initial consultation & exam.

Your consultation will include an examination of everything from your teeth, gums and soft tissues to the shape and condition of your bite. Generally, we want to see how your whole mouth looks and functions. Before we plan your treatment we want to know everything about the health and aesthetic of your smile, and, most importantly, what you want to achieve so we can help you get there.

Frequently Asked Questions

General dentistry covers a wide range of services aimed at maintaining your oral health. This includes routine check-ups, dental cleanings, fillings, root canals, crowns, bridges, and preventive education. The primary focus is on dental hygiene and tooth health, ensuring problems are treated early before they develop further.

It is recommended to visit your dentist for a check-up at least twice a year. These regular visits allow your dentist to diagnose any oral health issues early on and keep your teeth and gums healthy. However, your dentist might suggest more frequent visits depending on your specific oral health needs.

A regular dental cleaning (prophylaxis) typically involves removing plaque and tartar from above the gum line and is recommended biannually for all patients. A deep cleaning, or scaling and root planing, is a more extensive process that removes tartar from below the gum line and is usually prescribed for patients showing signs of gum disease.

While general dentists can provide minor orthodontic corrections, significant alignment issues are typically referred to an orthodontist. However, general dentists can offer options like veneers, which can camouflage minor crookedness and provide a more aesthetically pleasing appearance without the need for braces.

In case of a dental emergency, such as severe pain, a broken tooth, or a lost filling, you should contact your dentist immediately. Many dental offices offer emergency contact numbers or instructions for after-hours and weekend emergencies. If you cannot reach your dentist, visiting an emergency room or urgent care clinic may be necessary, especially if there is severe pain or bleeding.

I’ve never felt secure with a dentist until I found Dr Baker. He is so caring and always takes his time to explain everything. He truly cares about his patients. Having a dentist you can trust is priceless. The office is clean and homey. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I no longer dread going to the dentist.

Best Dentist in the area. Great hygienists and the dentists always take the time to discuss any areas of improvement or concern. Other places I feel like they are rushing you in and out as quickly as possible. I have recommended at least 4 people to go there and they all love it. If Baker or Upton are unsure of the best course of treatment, they will call other specialists to get their opinion. My wife went to 3 other dentists before Baker, and he was able to figure out the issue after a week. I can not recommend them enough.

Highly recommend. As someone who finds dental work very aversive, Dr. Baker and Kelly were awesome. The whole team was so welcoming and the work itself was a breeze compared to previous experiences elsewhere.

Just had my second visit to Dr. Upton. On my first visit, Dr. and his assistant, Jessica, did a thorough evaluation of my situation. He asked me questions about my dental history and actually listened carefully to my concerns. Then he left to review my x-rays and options for treatment. When he returned, he gave me some options, which I REALLY appreciated. He even took into consideration my dietary habits and the fact I don't like prescription medications. Not even my physicians gave me that kind of concern!! Today I had my tooth pulled out and he took into consideration my financial situation and did it under local anesthesia, where my previous experience was done under general anesthesia. It was less expensive and totally tolerable. I'm glad that he considers the whole patient, the tolerance to pain, the budget and the treatment preferences. I also appreciate that he sat on a stool and spoke to me face to face. His office staff, Jessica, Megan and Priscilla are all equally attentive and considerate. Thank you everyone 💓! Yes, I would recommend their services to anyone in need of dental care.
