Both my son and I see Dr Baker. Dr Baker is friendly and takes his time explaining everything. You don’t feel like just another patient. The staff is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and they instantly make you feel comfortable. My 5 year old son loves going to the dentist! I definitely recommend Upton and Baker to anyone looking for a great dentist!

I recently moved to Wake Forest and needed to find a dentist. I visited Upton & Baker DDS today for my routine dental cleaning and to address a concern I had with my teeth. They were very professional from the moment they called me to schedule an appointment till the moment I left their office this afternoon. Victoria did an amazing and thorough cleaning. She worked very gently and made me feel at ease. Dr. Baker was also very pleasant. He took his time with speaking to me and explained everything very clearly. All and all, I felt really comfortable and I am happy that I have found my new dentist.

I've been searching for a dentist with a similar small-town feel since mine retired a couple of years ago. I've been to four other practices in the triangle and all of them have felt, for lack of a better word "corporate". I had my first cleaning with Dr. Baker this morning and it felt like I was right back in my old dentists office again. He was compassionate, personable, and made you feel like a person and not a patient. He took the time to thoroughly review my X-rays and went out of his way to make sure I was happy with my experience. I think I've finally found my new dentist!

Very kind and courteous staff. Dr. Baker was so incredibly nice and gentle as I tend to be very nervous at the dentist’s office. He took lots of care to make sure I was comfortable and calm, and he explained everything clearly and thoroughly. He and the whole staff are very knowledgeable and experienced. I trust them with dental care for my whole family. Highly recommend this practice.

Best Dentist in the area. Great hygienists and the dentists always take the time to discuss any areas of improvement or concern. Other places I feel like they are rushing you in and out as quickly as possible. I have recommended at least 4 people to go there and they all love it. If Baker or Upton are unsure of the best course of treatment, they will call other specialists to get their opinion. My wife went to 3 other dentists before Baker, and he was able to figure out the issue after a week. I can not recommend them enough.

Transforming Smiles, Transforming Lives

Choosing veneers is about more than enhancing your dental appearance—it’s a journey toward renewed confidence and happiness that impacts every part of your life. Imagine a smile you’re proud to share in every moment, big or small.

Think about the times you’ve hesitated to smile due to insecurities. Our goal is to help you achieve a smile that reflects your true joy and personality, empowering you to shine in every scenario:

  • Capturing cherished memories in photos with loved ones.
  • Being the center of attention at life’s special celebrations.
  • Celebrating milestones with friends and family, radiating confidence.
  • Leaving a strong, positive impression in professional settings.
  • Enjoying the thrill of a first date without hesitation.

With our expertise, we’ll craft a smile you’ll be eager to showcase, helping you face life’s moments with confidence and ease, no matter the occasion or company.

Getting Veneers is Simple and Easy

Before starting the process, we take the time to understand your goals and motivations for improving your smile. Our first priority is ensuring that veneers are the perfect solution for your needs. If necessary, we may recommend a preliminary treatment plan to optimize your gum health, providing a strong and healthy foundation for your veneers.

Preparing The Teeth

To make space for the veneers, we carefully remove a very thin layer of enamel from the front surface of your teeth. This process is done under local anesthesia to ensure your comfort. Once prepared, we take impressions of your teeth, ensuring your veneers will fit perfectly and blend seamlessly with your natural smile.

Creation and Placement

While your permanent veneers are being custom-crafted, we fit you with temporary veneers to maintain your comfort and appearance. Once your permanent veneers are ready, the temporary ones are removed, and the custom veneers are securely bonded in place. Final adjustments and polishing complete the process, leaving you with a radiant, flawless smile.

Caring for Your Veneers

After placement, we’ll guide you on how to care for your veneers to keep them looking and feeling great. Treat your veneers as you would your natural teeth—brush and floss regularly, and maintain routine dental cleanings and checkups. With proper care, your veneers can last 10 years or more, providing a long-lasting investment in your confidence and appearance.

to schedule an initial consultation & exam.

Your consultation will include an examination of everything from your teeth, gums and soft tissues to the shape and condition of your bite. Generally, we want to see how your whole mouth looks and functions. Before we plan your treatment we want to know everything about the health and aesthetic of your smile, and, most importantly, what you want to achieve so we can help you get there.

The Cost Of Veneers In Wake Forest

The cost of dental veneers can vary widely based on your unique dental needs and goals. With insurance, a single veneer may cost between $200 and $600 or more. Without insurance, prices typically start at $800 to $1200 per veneer and can go higher.

Several factors influence veneer pricing, including the number of veneers needed, the level of preparation and application work required, the type of veneers selected, and your personal aesthetic goals for your smile.

Since each smile is unique, it’s not possible to provide an accurate price estimate over the phone. A consultation and oral examination with a dentist are essential to determine your treatment options and get a precise cost estimate tailored to your needs.

If you have dental insurance, we’ll provide a detailed quote to help you understand what your provider may cover and any out-of-pocket expenses. This ensures you can make an informed decision about your investment in a beautiful, lasting smile.

Frequently Asked Questions

Porcelain veneers, often referred to as “traditional” veneers, are thin, durable shells designed to mimic the appearance of natural teeth. They are virtually indistinguishable from real teeth and are highly resistant to stains due to their porcelain material.

The number of veneers you need depends on your smile goals. Many people choose to apply veneers only to the teeth that are most visible when they smile, while others opt for a more comprehensive approach. The choice is entirely yours.

With proper care, veneers can last 10 to 15 years, offering a long-lasting solution for a brighter, more confident smile.

Caring for veneers is simple and similar to caring for your natural teeth. Brush at least twice a day using gentle toothpaste, floss daily, and rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash once or twice a day. Avoid sugary or acidic foods and drinks, particularly before bedtime, to protect your veneers and overall oral health. Don’t forget to schedule regular dental cleanings and checkups every six months to keep your smile in top condition!
